Sept 30th 1964

Dear Jack and Mrs Conroy.

Delightful surprise today to receive the "Disinherited" & although I shall settle down with great interest to reading it tonight - the 30's was also a very painful period for us too! - I wanted to say a 'Very Kind thank you for remembering' to send it. Almost unknown these days for people to say they will do something & then deliver!! I don't know whether
