I debated some time whether to acknowledge with thanks and say nothing of the spoilage or what - but finally decided to tell them the truth as nicely as possible, lest they should try to send us more another time. Did I mention a short visit we had with [unclear] about a week before Christmas? He was planning to take his new plane and go south to practice flying so he can get a license.
