Gre?ne? ? taking a sister on the lounge and looked somewhat frizzled - We had a fine walk away to the woods and hills and gathered a boquet of the last Autumn flowers Solidago, Aster, purple & white, Lobelia, Gerardia, and bright colored leaves - In the dear little Lucy vase they look quite beautiful - In the evening Mrs Ashly & children and Miss Culver came in

Friday Oct. 8. Dark rainy morning but bright before dinner - Sewed and read in A.M. At noon Mary washed our room. This afternoon read some - cut out & hemmed
