I am happy dear girls & may I add, more resigned to my lot. I love our kind Dr. more then I ever have before. I trust that I am truly grateful to the Giver of every blessing. for that degree of resignation that I can now feel to my lot. [the last three words are struck out]

I have been gaining for two weeks very fast. I have been hard sick since you left Sarah but I am now nearly as well as I have been any time since I left home. I have more expectations of getting well now then I have had for weeks past. (I ought to have said if I stay. I am not sure but I shall go soon)
