My Dear Jenine and Anna,
I believe I will begin my letter with the two most important items of news that I have to tell you. First, little Robbie is sick. He has been quite poorly now for nearly a week. Dr. Terry was here last Monday evening and unclear his gums. He thought that teething was in a great measure what made him sick. But as he still continues quite feeble and does not seem to gain much, if any, Lewis went for Dr. GIllat this morning. He has not come yet. Poor Robbie, it seems hard to see him sick, he was so full of life and fun. He coughs very badly and does not eat hardly anything. He is sitting on his Grandma's lap now and is looking quite smart; she has been feeding him with a piece of a pancake. -
