About the butter- we have just finished the eighth tub.-they are called 60 weight but I heard some one say lately that they will hardly average that more like 55. Mrs. Dr. Burdrick wishes 50 weight- I believe but we neglected to order such- Would she like (one of these--crossed out) to try one of these and which one? and how much a pound would she be willing to give- it all looks nice we think- I think she said that perhaps she could find a market for all (underlined) we have

[Vertical writing, starting at bottom left corner of page:] not make up my mind to send for a crate because mother does not think we need them as we have pears. We have put up a nice lot of tomatoes and some elderberries and with our nice apples and pears we shall not suffer- Lewis has sold his butter to Mr. T...? ten for 22d- He expects to get more for the fall butter He did not sell that. We hope to get more for all of ours than that, dont you think we can (so- crossed out) What are you paying now? (for butter?- crossed out) Is there any prospect of you coming home to see us soon? It is very pleasant here now. How is Mrs Jones? We send much love to her. Mrs. Hogg & family
