SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1864. Had Inspection at 101/2 A.M. I received a box containing a number of books from home the other day

MONDAY 31 There was one or two boats came over to the lower post where it was fired on which awakened the camp & quite a number fired at it. Retreated up Moy River. Was mustered by the Col for the months of Sept & Oct.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1 Went to town with Lt unclear . Got my pass renewed. Called on Lt. Suitor to have details for work made from other Cos. as well as unclear He was willing and referred me to unclear Brown Comdg DIstrict. Called on unclear Adjt Genl.
