I am the light of the world, he that followeth me Shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. John. 8. 12. "I am". When Moses was commissioned at the burning bush on Horeb to go to the relief of the Enslaved Israelites he inquired what his credentials should be: "Behold when I come unto the children of Israel and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you, and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses: I am. that I am. Thus shall thou say unto the CHildrebn of Israel, I am hath sent me unto you. This is the primitive name of God. It declares his Eternal Self-Existence. It was put in the present tense
