Wed. Dec. 1st 1897 husking corn. in a.m. Goe. went by and said I ought to bring heifer home from woods. Thurs 2 a.m. moved away stalks. After recess Eli & I went to wood lot and brought Bute home. Examinations at school Eli did not have to go. p.m. husk corn. Eli came up & helped after recess. Fri. 3 a.m. mowed away stalks, then to hill lot, husking, very late to dinner. p.m. husking. warmer.
