April 22d, Your Letter of April 14th &c. is received yesterday. I hardly know just what to write to you. Your letter troubled me very much, and I have been thinking of it ever since. To be sure the subjects you advert to are very proper for any one at anyone at any time. It is every one's duty to attend to their will & every thing therewith connected. I shall attend to mine as soon as I have any property &c. I have been thinking for a year or two of certain final requests &c. I wished to be understood in case of accident or evil. But what do you mean by an "impression" that you are not to be much more an "actor in the world". Have you any right to such an impression? You say you may have more reason than I suppose. If there is any ground pray explain it.
