long in New York that you will not mind if she does come before you can will you? We are anxious for her to see father and Anna & also we think perhaps she would enjoy it better before the carpenters come. Lewis has just had his house repainted it looks nicely — Robt. Hughes has had his house painted and blinds put up. We expect Mary Evans here next week to sew. - she has just been to Utica to get the fashions. Ann Roberts has given up business (they say she's going to be married). John B has not yet gone into business again and he has had time to see to this little matter perhaps.
Little Eddie told me today that David Price said he might have his little Mary and "I'm going" to call her Mate," he added slyly. We put the seeds into our hot beds today - it is so warm and pleasant that it almost seemed uselees to make hot beds, but it may grow cold again Eddie and I got a great bunch of spring beauties - last Tuesday I think and we brought some more in today.
sideways The snow left us without rain this spring - it went fast and we had pleasant bright weather - the roads are quite good now - considering nothing has been done to them yet - Eddie and I took Amelia Evans home Thursday after the Cen. were all sewed - and Lyle caried us along quickly; and smoothly almost as in the summer season - the little leaves begin to open their eyes on the trees - truly the wintrer is past and gone. - We thought of you so much as we were at could help us make garden friends - May God bless and keep you all summer - it would make it the Methodists have just o Flint leaves and goes to at time in the village tomorrow takes his place here - nnot read this
