I believe I have not written about the weather here yet, which of course you always expect. Since I came till Tuesday 8th got all the perfect winter weather of Southern Illinois, no cloud, mile & bright sunny, there can be no finer weather in Greece or Italy: Sometimes just a little frost in the morning sometimes not. Just like the very finest Indian Summer weather in Ohio or East, except that there is a peculiar soft mildness of the air, instead of the kind of crispness east. 8th & 9th Cloudy & a little rain. But the very rains here seems if not dry, at least soft & mild, compared with the sharp chilly harsh cloudy weather elsewhere.
