4/10/09 One of the gray team was badly unclear while skidding logs early in Feb. and apparently cut into the coffin joint. The animal stood on three legs for several weeks. The farrier unclear poulticed and otherwise treated it believing it would come out well if not entirely sound but the animal begun to show signs of complications and rapidly lost flash & strength Evidently blood poisoning - unclear unclear unclear being unable to rise its hind legs so could not get up of stand when assisted to its feet. And as a small act of humanity it was shot to end possible needless suffering.
