  I have never seen a specimen of Solanum dulcamara. I suspect that your Solanum, of Sunapee Ledges, is dulcamarus changed in appearance by situation. Of the three species  in Gray S. Carolinense is low; Stem erect, prickly (1 ft high); berries in loose ?, globular, Orange yellow; & is probably not found so far north as N.H.: - S. Hignum, Low, berries globular, black: S. Dulcamara, Stem climbing: oval, Scarlet berries, in small cymes; which perhaps answers to your "bright red oblong" description.

Some of its other errors cannot be excused by the State of natural science .
