[Elysua?] Apr. 7th /54 Dear Mother, Yours dated Apr.1st had just come to hand. How strange it seems to read in your letter about the snow! - road all blocked up- and so many feet of snow- I have it is true seen a little snow the past winter but only for a day or two at a time, indeed I can scarcely make it seem to me that there has been any winter, not more than three or four days through the entire winter has the thermometer been as low as zero.
