I met a pleasant little company at Mr. Tamwoods the other evening. the gentleman were all students except Weld C Joseph was invited but did not go. We had pleasant and constructive conversation, and we had one short play of consequence. A young lady went round with pencil and paper, requested each gentleman to write the name of a lady on a speech addressed to a lady & each lady to write a gentleman name, place, of residence, and answer to such speech, they were then put together and read over so as to be very amusing. Afterwards we each in succession wrote two lines of poetry, the last line of one to rhyme with the first line of the next; that too proved quite amusing specimens Arrive my muse and wipe your nose and then "Ive got a fishbone in my throat'.
