I have joined a young ladies' sewing circle lately the object of which is to clothe poor children on condition of their attending Sabbath School. the Society consists of 30 young [unclear] meet once a month and sew in evening a member pays 25 per year and a fine of 6 1/4 for every absence from meeting I am Sec and have the doings at each meeting to write off and a yearly response to make the meetings for sewing are opened with prayer and closed with singing & it it is a standing rule that no young lady shall refuse to open the meeting if called upon. Is it not a good rule? Almeda does not know that I am going to send this morning; you must write soon what your conclusion's about Isaac and advise me what I had better do about paying for an addition [fire?] or changing my boarding.
