he walked round the fire & to the door, when he changed his note to I, and ascended the roof not drawing his breath till he arrived at the top of the house. He then commenced The ((unclear)) hymn. This consists of seven verses and each verse was sung in a distinct tune & thus the man changed the tune with the verses seven times, one line constituted a verse, by being repeated four times, the seven verses ((unclear)) Thus sung are as follows verse.

1. Hi yo (wo??), y a ta ni.

2. Hi te hu yu, y a ta ni.

3. Hi wa ti ki, y a ta ni,

4. Hi hi wa sa se, y a ta ni

5. Hi A ni tsu si, y a ta ni.

6. Hi yo ni, hi ye ye, y a ta ni.

7. Hi A ni he ho, ya ka ni.

After singing each verse, he rattled his gourd, and struck the note (unclear)) On concluding the hymn, as he began to descend, he again struck the note I ( e long) which he continued without drawing his breath, till he came down, entered the tower and walked round the fire, to the ((unclear)) where he was dressed. He then ((unclear)) and shake loudly "I am heard," at which all the assembly expressed their joy by saying wah. Then the man who had dressed him arose, went to him, took off his white dress, put it in it's appropriate place
