56 Tuesday November the 1st Went to the church of the unclear which we could see very little of (as this is all saints day) it being filled with people, from what we saw of this church I should like much? to take a look at it again everything is shut up today but the churches -- thence to the Broolo gardens + unclear to the pavilion to get a view of the town. it was not a very extensive view but rather pretty. had dinner + went to Mr. ---- studio to see the different statues which I liked very much. He is an American + I am glad to say his work is considered among the unclear of Italy. I think he is a native of Cincinnati. There we saw busts of most of the great men of America ---
