Dear Jennie,

We were almost startled as well as relieved by hearing from home today. We were relieved as we had been anxiously expecting a letter for several days and we were startled by receiving three letters at once. Two of them were mailed the fifth and the sixth of Dec. This last one was from Mother and written Nov 30. I wonder if somebody forgot to put it in the mail? The other two were from you. We feel anxious and troubled about Anna. Poor child, she has been over taxing herself all last spring and summer

in margins is most bed time so I leave you. Love to all. Good night.

Sarah and Wm.

Tell Mathew that we have enough money now - a good deal more than enough to take us home. Sat. 9 - We had a cold night. Mon. 5 below zero this morning the coldest they have seen since they have been in Mich. Wm. does not breathe quite so well. He got a good letter from Mary yesterday She sent him some medicine and tried to encourage him. I wish we knew how Anna is this cold day. Tell me how the weather is with you and how cold it is.
