I went to my boys school to see their teacher. then to see Belle. she is suffering much with Neuralgia in her head. Mr Harvey took her to drive but it did not do her any good, she returned with worse pain. Octave came to see her so did Mr Nelson Mrs Cook and Miss Bruinard. Mrs & Miss Wheelock called to invite us to her house to a reading. Mr Cresas invited us to a reading tomorrow Miss Brainard, Miss Yager, called. I stayed with Belle until very late at night. Eva and Hunt went out riding. I received a letter from Pa. Teusday March 30, 1875. This has been a beautiful day, I went down early to Belle's house and found her in a very desponding mood. feeling quite Sick had a bad night, and is suffering Severely with the pain on the top of her head. stayed all day with her, and today we are giving her Quinine, she is certainly no better. at six O,clock I returned home dressed myself and went with Mr Badger Ada and Sheridan to Mr Cresas's reading. met many of our old friends there. after the reading was over Mr Cresas had Cream Cakes & fruits brought around to us and after that Coffee was served. We had a charming evening. I engaged a new girl in Mary,s place named Mary Franz. she comes tomorrow. She is for second work. Wednesday March 31, 1875. This has been a cloudy and rainy day all of us well at my house I went down to Belle's house at eight O,clock. found her better stayed with her all day. her did not return all day. the first time she has been free for four weeks. My new girl Mary came today. Thursday April 1st 1875 This has been a cold blustering day. I went to Belle,s house at eight O.clock, found her better but very weak. She is not up yet. Mrs Crocker called today. Miss Kyle here to make a dress of white Shallie for Ada. Mrs McKinelley left party cards for us today for next Teusday. Mrs & Miss Groverman and Mrs B Botsford called. Friday April 2nd 1875 This has been a good day. all of my family well. Belle I sent to see early and found her not so well. she had her chill & fever come on again.
