March 4-1947 My dear Mr. Burbank, I am the neice [sic] of George Kilroy who was in San Francisco late in January. My husband and I should have found time for a visit with you, but your fabulous city kept us on a continuous merry-go-round for the week we were there. What a wonderful city it is! We do enjoy is so much when we return - The only trouble being that we cannot get there often enough.

   Thank you very much for the two copies of Lincoln you sent to us. It is a very striking pose, serious, yet still    Lincoln has a little whimsical expression about his eyes which many artists make so serious and sombre. I gave one copy to a very dear friend of mine on Lincoln's Birthday. She was delighted with it and sent it to Billings Montana at once to be framed.
