Father was married the 16th of Sept to a Mrs Butts of Syracuse she has a little boy he's eight years of age. She seems to be a very sensible pleasant lady. Lizzie took the fever from washing clothes for Edwina our kitchen girl - you will remember her. She is getting better now. She is not here. I have been initiated into the mysteries of the culinary department more deeply than ever before. This will account for the delay in answering your letter. Please write again soon.
