Tuesday June 22nd 1863

Another bright day - all in health - I think I am getting better. Hattie gone to spend the day with Miss Hutchingson, Mrs. Gage and Miss Whetherbe came to see me. also Mrs. Truman & Mrs B. F. Sherman

Wednesday June 23rd

Our weather getting warm. my dress maker came up to fit me. Nancy sick with Pleurisy - sent for Dr Bartlett for me and Nancy he thinks he can cure my Rheumatism. Ellen here.

Thursday June 24

At five O.clock this afternoon Aunt Harriett and Uncle James arrived from St Louis. they well - we all glad to see them Licinia & Ella here - Walter, Albert, Breckett & Millie Haskill came in after tea - and we all had a nice time.

Friday June 25th

Fine Weather - received a letter from home. Ma not well - Aunt Harriet went visiting with Brackett Mr. Badger Uncle James. Ada & Sheridan all went out to west end.

Saturday June 26

Very warm morning. our friends remained at home until four O.clock, then all went out to West End - my children also and my Father - I went to bed early.

Sunday June 27th

A beautiful day - but warm. Mr. Badger went to Sunday school. all the rest remained at home - the boys as usual came in to dinner. at seven O.clock Uncle James and family all left for New York. all my family went to the Depot with them. at ten O.clock we had a shower of rain.

Monday June 28th

It looks like rain to day. at five O.clock we had a severe? rain - which pleased all. I am much better - have been busy all day cutting out work for my seamstress.

Tuesday June 29th

We all feel pleased that the childrens school end to day - they have worked hard and well. Belle's report had one hundred for every thing which is the highest mark given. Eva had a great many marks of one hundred but a few not reaching that. had a letter from home. all well but Ma she is complaining a great deal.

Wednesday July 1st 1863

It is very warm weather - all well. I am much improved - almost well. Dr Bartlett came to see me. he took tea with us. Mr Badger invited to a party at Burley's. I and all the children are invited to a Picnic at Mr Herfoots.

Thursday July 2nd

This is another warm day. all well. children went out early to buy flowers to give Mrs Grover to deck the school room with, for the examination at three O.clock. Mrs Tileston and Grace arrived in city and came right up to see us - from Boston. they have been to St Louis to see her brother married. I was delighted to see them. they leave to night Belle & Eva have gone to the exhibition dressed in swiss and blue ribbons - they look well.
