Springfield Feb 13 1882 Honourd Parents I will inform you that we had a verry good journey home we got to Cherry Vally Sabbath evening & come home monday morning we found our family comfortably well Fanny was sick whilst I was gon so she had to get a girl a week to do her work she had got well be fore I com home the babe was not verry well all the time I was gone & is not yet he is a cutting teeth & is troubled with worms I found evvry thing as well as I could expect considerin Fanny not being able to be a bout all the time there is no truth I'm what I told you about Fanny I find that a mothers care is verry much wanted in such a family as I hav got the boys had two calves to skin whilest we was gone & expect to hav a nother to skin soon there is a great many cattle over
