        Utica, July 17, 1858. -
               Dear Brother and Sister,
                     We had a pleasant ride down Thursday morning: met uncle Henry at the depot, so we had his company in the cars and he carried one satchel to the market and Frank brought it over here.
      When we reched Utica Dr found that the express train on which he went to go would leave in about an hour and a half, and as it was a good ways up to the Asylum he got a carrige and we went with him.
