Cambridge City Dec 17th 1855 Mr N Kendall Dr Sir your letter of the 7th inst came to hand and found me in bed very sick I was taken sick soon after my return home with the chils & Bilous feaver and have not been able to sit up and write a line since until this morning which I do proped up in my bed but I am getting better and hope to be unclear a few days I had intended to return to your City
