It snows and is wet -- Mr Badger gone to Church -- I wrote home -- Mr Hunt took dinner with us -- and told us Good Bye -- he leaves to night for Louisville -- Mr Badger and Eva went out to his Fathers at west end -- Eva took cold -- after tea Mr Badger went to church --
Monday March 9th
Sheridan not well -- he is in bed with fever -- Eva came home from school with headache -- all the rest well -- I will not go out to day -- Mrs Ezra Sherman called -- Mr Charles Gray and Mr Willard spent evening with us,
Teusday March 10th
It is a pretty day -- I went down street -- Sheridan better -- Eva gone to school. Mrs P U? Murphy called with Mr J. K? Fisher Mrs Flint called -- I received a box from Louisville brought to me by Mrs Murphy my old dress maker -- who has just arrived she thinks of settling here -- Mr & Mrs Thomas came to tea -- we had a nice supper -- after tea Dr & Mrs Willard scratched out Mc Vicker called also Mr A. Bigelow we had a pleasant evening --
Wednesday March 11th
Sheridan up and dressed -- all of us well -- I took a Carriage and Ada and I went calling -- made many visits all on the North side -- we are at home to night -- I called to see Mrs Wm Fleetwood, Mrs Hosmer, Mrs Trueman?, Mrs Dexter Mrs Dudley Mrs Rogers, Mrs Fenton, both families of Goodwins Mrs M. O Walker
Thursday March 12th
This is my reception day -- we are all well -- Weather very good --
Friday March 13th
I visited all day -- took Ada with me -- called only on Mich Ave -- called on Mrs Peck -- Miss Gurnee -- Mrs Cobb -- Mrs Tuttle Mrs Beecher -- Mrs Sherman -- Mrs Farnham -- Miss Skinner -- Mrs D Gurnee -- Mrs Clark. Mrs Wm Johnson -- Mrs Nelson -- Mrs Barner? -- Mrs Maniere, children went to Flints to a candy pulling -- Mr Badger and I called for them --
Saturday March 14th
This is a bright day -- Mrs Murphy my dress maker came from Louisville to see me to day -- my children went visiting -- they called on many children -- in the afternoon we all went to Mirasole,s dancing school -- we go to night to Theatre to see Cubas. Mr Smith has rented this house of Mr Burch,s and we will have to get another, Mr Burch wants 25 hundred dollars for it this year -- we went to see Cubas, took Belle, Eva & Ada -- all our family from west end were there. She played the French spy --
