I felt very weak before coming from home, and went to Dr Williams for some medicine - he gave me some kind of a tonic, "Elixir of Calycea" I think he said it was. He said I was suffering from the effects of the unclear strain and that it was surprising that I stood it so well, and had not suffered more from the re-action. He thought we were doing the best thing to come away for a while, as the close proximity of any severe sickness would not be well for us just now. He did not think there would be much danger of contagion, but thought very decidedly
