The loss of rebels supposed to be greater. Papers state that Potomac Army has reversed? the Rappahannock. Recd a letter from Sherman and Atlantic Monthly. Wrote to Barnes. Reported the Rgt to Genl Grant. Tuesday 12. Warm day . [unclear ] in Genl Reed and learned the result of his raid over Bayou Macon. All quiet and nothing new so far as I can learn.
