1866 Saturday, February 17. A warm pleasant day compared with those preceding. Spent the day in the office as usual reading + studying the case of Dauson vs Boris. Collective same authorities. Sherman went to see his sheep up near Narris?burg. At night went to see Miss W & staid until after 10 oclock. Nothing new. Read a letter from Dr. Fitch enclosing his photograph. Wrote him enclosing mine. Bought some notes of Bill Thompson $200 in $100.
