1866 Sunday February 4 Clear cold day Took a bath in the morning and then went to the unclear church heard Mr Wilson preach - Wrote a long letter to Rod over some of very old letters .Hunted up my old stove pipe hat. At night went with Sherman to the Methodist church. Had some unclear there [unclear]] stopped at the house and I staied until the until the funeral 10 o'clock and am now about to retire
