Arthur also Sister unclear Aunt Lizzie of Florence all called to see me to day - Mr. unclear I have sent to see Mr. unclear about unclear school- my two children Belle & Eva gone to Mrs Walker to dancing school - and also to supper - Mr Badger going to Freemont unclear to the Unitarian Sociable - Ada still with Fever - I am anxious about her - Thursday Dec 12th 1861. It is a very pretty day Mrs Freeman called. Ada still very feverish - no change she keeps her bed - poor appetite Ella Walker & Amelia Mathers spent evening with children - Miss Heywood & Mr Ed unclear called after Tea - Mr Badger has gone to see Mr unclear unclear family - baby boy took a long walk to day - Saturday Dec 14th Another warm beautiful day - I still see no change in Ada - we have no called a Physician yet. unclear we were anxious not to give medicine Mrs M. O. Walker called to day with her two little boys - Mr. O. This is a beautiful day it is like a day in May - It is so unclear - Mr Badger has gone to Church and Sunday school - I think Ada is a little better to day - We are giving her unclear - Col Buckner of the rebel side has lose his only child - Father Badger carried home last night some unclear to kill rats - and Sister unclear & baby boy Charles got the paper and sucked of the corner of the paper that the poison was in - it alarmed the family very much and they gave the boy an emetic - but they suppose he did not get any - this morning he is quite well - Father Badger Sister unclear And Ella came to see us before going to night church - I wrote to sister Bella to day- Monday Dec 16th 1861. This is a beautiful day - Ada a little better - I still think she has the Typhoid fever- Mrs. W. M. unclear called - I cut out to day the childrens black velvet basques - children out walking - there is a report to night that Charleston J. G. is all in flames. and a large insurrection among the slaves - they have the engines and burning the city - Mr Badger sick to night with high Fever - I don't think Chicago agrees with him -
