Hillsdale College building--image Hillsdale, Mich. Sept. 12th 1873 Dear Aunt Sarah and Uncle Will- I have just been counting how many letters I have to write and how many do you suppose? Just twenty. So I will begin with you, and if you do not appreciate this honor enough to answer my letter real soon, I shall write to you last next time. Well we are here. But I wish we were not. Or at least I wish I was in Remsen. You can not think how homesick I was for Remsen after we left. I felt almost as bad as I did to leave Lewiston. I wish that we lived in Mr. Jones’ house just the other side of Grandoa’s. Wouldn’t it be fun?
