My very dear Friend Sarah

   It is five days since I commenced writing to Anna & yourself.  As you will see by dates.  I have repeatedly got my pen in hand to finish this letter. and as often have I been interrupted.  The Town fair came off this weekend attended two days.  we had company from Booville, I could not get one Spare moment until this evening to finish this letter.  If you and Anna knew how 

in margin: Sarah I Saw a young lady to the county Fair at Boone? that looked so much like you that I verily thougt it must be your own dear self - She had your hair, eyes, and freckles - also your style of dress You have not a sister on this earth that looks so much like you as she does I did not find out who she was nor where she came from good bye for now - Sarah
