A water to heale a Sore Take a galon of run~ing water, a handful of ribwort, another of plantain, the like of Mousears, a handful of yarrow, the like of [ eaves] a quarter of a pound of [allo] and 7 sponfulls of [lifebony]. Boile all togethr from a galch to a pottle, strayne and put into a stone jar or bottle and stop it. When you have use therof, warm a little of it and wet a fine linen cloth then lay it on the sore twice a day. This is very good. This medicine was made much of by the Lady Cane of Bygrene
