Febuary 4 5: 1789 Reverand Sr this Day the Capt & lives Desired me to write to the ministers the following account (viz) that after the meeting there was two Likely men Died hear one of them was the Lieut wifes Brother he Died in three Day after he was taken the other was a young man that had Ben to Scool he Died in two Days after he was taken there are Several of the Indians Sick all this time but thay are Recovering again the Lieuts famely is almost all sick Brown? has Bon very Sick but thay are all better again the Capt and the Lieut both say that thay was poisned? by the other Indians I shall write a perticuler account to mr Williams of what I saw and heard which if you cite? of the Letter I would have you Break it open and seal it up again and send it to Mr Williams but this being the Capt and Lieut Letter and writ by there Desire I shall unclear their names to it Sr excuse the Improperness of ? letter Sr I write to you as thay Deliver to me the Indians and when thay was Drunk thay betray them selves for they would say to these Indians what makes you so much like the English and thay unclear and they hate us for what we have done but we dont intend to give out you Humble Sorvent
