A.M. Sat. - Aug. 13, 1966 Dear Jack -

Your book came yesterday. Thanks so much!
I look forward to reading it.
Tried to reach Arno Bontemps, but no luck. Guess he's busy, etc.
Beautiful early Sat. - when only a cat across yard cleaning on paws) looking out window - and I seem to be awake, sharing the sweet morning.
So much to do ( duties, alas!) - want to get them out of way, so I can enjoy just being, and return to the forrest of self.
The weekend passes so underlined: fast! I try to hang on to its coattails - but a wind blows it past and leaves me stranded once again on the rush of week.
Good luck! Thanks - dear Jack - again - I hope your book goes over great. Love to Gladys.

Affectionately - Henrietta
