Dear Lorraine: Your envelope with the loot in it followed me here from Jax-Par? which warrants thanx, sister mine, it helped to defray a few necessary expenses. I've been assigned to the music dept. again, praise be, and will probably be fairly active in the musical end of the prison chapel, as it appears now. The present organist leaves soon and I'm slated to take his place, which gives me a chance to improve on that instrument, they've got a fine big Hammond. Met the priest who conducts Catholic mass and discussed by playing for that also. Looking forward to that, a new experience, and I've always liked the music of the mass. The Father is a delightful guy, very recently from Eire with an engaging Irish lilt. It should be quite something, hearing Latin intoned with a Kildare flavour. I'm celling with a musician from Milwaukee; very quiet cat, fastidious in the extreme, very good for me, since I am somewhat of a slob. So I begin the pursuit of my M. A. in the academy. An expensive item, education. Please let me hear- Have a good summer, protect yourself at all times, and give my love to that black Irish nogoodnik. love, Jim James Blake
