still lives there and worked at the plywood factory during the second World War. There were several plants then, most of them closed in the late '40's or '50's. My father worked for a short time in the plants until he begin logging in the very late 40's. My children went to school in Aberdeen and my sister taught there until this past summer. As we are going home at Christmas, to be with my mother, I would like to begin a little research about Cantwell and the factory he worked in. Is there any ideas you could give me (your helpful hints are so very good). I still have a very good friend teaching American Lit at Grays Harbor Jr College and hope to enlist his help if I don't get everything done this trip. I know my mother will think it a great idea, as maybe I will be able to go home again and finish my research. The lynching in Centralia is indicative of the people who live around Grays Harbor, they are ultra everything and once they take a stand, one side or the other, you are unable to change them. I also think the weather has a lot to do with the character of the people.
I'm sorry this letter was ment [sic] to be a short note and I got carried away. Once again
Sincerely Jan Knodle
