We would not know the blessedness of human sympathy were we in a world where so such sorrows come. We are here for purposes of training and discipline. Calamity is not "a wild and ungoverned power that has broken into the domain of Providence." It is a part of our life, a part of our discipline, a part of our progress and improvement.
