first two lines are unclear only with bottoms of Rivers & creeks _ I do not think these prairies have ever been covered with wood, this unclear only growing when there is abundance of water - such as on rivers Creeks &c - No scarcity of deer but being in the prairies. We do not hunt - prairies here (a species of ground ? say ? Grande ?, quail, snipe, plover etc - The [?] on the edge of the bottoms - plenty cattle.
