grace but they never had grace if they make many prayers outwardly - and at times seem much engaged still this will last but a little while - their prayers will not be answered - they fall back into likewasrness, & Will cleave to their beloved idols supremely.

1st This subject may well call up an attention to a shist? examination of ourselves, to see whether our prayers for sanctification and growth in grace are answered We all at times profess to pray for the pardon of our sins, we Vow to be = ths Lords stewards forever, devoted to his fear & to keep all his commands - These vows are frequent on fast? days We doubtless have crossed out words prayed, at least outwardly
