fruits in addition to meat, and it is a saving of time and money to go there. Glad to hear about Nina's preparation for her wedding. Hope her father will come to see her and that Mrs. Marsh may soon be placed in more congenial surroundings, free from her responsibility. Give all the Marshes my love and tell them one of my pleasantest Avon Park memories is the one of my visit with them. Also please ask after the health of the alligator who dwelt in their lake. Virginia Kopp has just returned from a week's camping out with her group of Camp Fire Girls two miles south of here near Bogan's Farm. One night 3 squares of bacon were stolen and another about 4 dozen nice homemade doughnuts which one of the mother's had sent to them. Also; one of the neighboring farm houses caught fire and they helped carry water to put it out - these little incidents relieving the dull monotony of camp life. Uncle Frank has acknowledged my birth announcement and says he may stop in July 2nd, so perhaps we can scramble along without Uncle Charley. Am going to town now with Virginia.
Much love Katharine
