Dear May: - I can't remember what was in your last letter, and don't feel like looking it up! I have been sick, for some two weeks, the real flue, this time, I guess. I was in bed about a week. No real pain, but full of groans, for some reason or another. Martha has kept well, and I am a lucky woman, with a good, warm and pleasant home to be sick in, and a ditto nurse to take care of me. We had the doctor, a good one. He gave me no medicine but had a kettle put to boil in the room to make steam for the cough, and gave plenty of directions as

to my convalescence.
