Dear Mary

It is really time that I wrote you. I think of you every day (N.B. & sometimes twice) but I am a bum little writer as you know. I saw Sarah a few minutes on her way east but

have not seen her since, she promised to let me know on her return - but have not heard from her. If it page torn I will try to get her on the subject You mention but I can. I am sorry for all of their? but I guess men? fer? Mr Wood than the others. His case is so helpless & he is so torn by conflicting witnesses What can one do with his family? ties Imagine little Margarthe tugging at your heart strings. Life is horribly cruel and the trouble is there is no way out of anything. Except nt? of life & no one has the nerve to take the ?un? road. I know for I have lrest to take it. On the whole it seems as if Sarah should fight it out. It cant be changed but this doesnt mean that it is not hard? for her it is. Think of all the fool rainbows and baubles that are held up to us to lure us in. We know all about but still we think that we will find the pot of gold and chase & chase until we plunge headlong into the open grave. I believe that every thing is an illusion and that the world has no place for people like you
