Gladstone Hotel 62nd St and Kenwood Ave. Chicago July 10 1927

Dear friend, Arrived here last Saturday and yesterday rec'd night letter telling me of your dear mother's passing away. I am not surprised of course for we could not help feeling that the frail little body was really worn out. You will indeed be very lonely without her and I am wondering what your plans are.

I thought I was bringing your card from N. Car- with me but I can't find it now so will send this to Avon. If you should by any chance come on
