There is one great disadvantage for navigation about the rivers & towards the mountains; during the freshets caused by heavy rains, the rivers run torrents; the rains over they dwindle down to small streams. Today shot some fine bucks & a bear. 17th - Came down the Cibols, crossed it & camped at the Pintas spring at the foot of the Loma del Pinto 18th - On our route today the country was alive with deer.
