My dear Phyllis -

It was very kind indeed of you to write me that lovely note and to send me Edith's poems? I like the poems very much indeed, their spirit is splendid and beautiful I think - I have always felt that Edith was the very truest democrat I knew - truly at heart one - and these have the spirit of it-- I like the preface-- Did not you and Ned think them
