  Anna sends a short hand extract with aids for you to decipher. We must not wait for each other in writing. Sometime we fail to get to or send to the office on account of the storms! We spoke to Mr. P yesterday about the farm. He would like to stay another year. We have not arranged particulars - mean to have a written contract if we can make out. Can you suggest anything you would like in the arrangement. We would like to keep a cow and so have all the milk we can use also hens and have a place besides the garden for vegetables. We must shingle the side of the barn too and will have to fuss more than some summers. We would like to have those out buildings on the west made a little more sightly. When will you be home? If we do not make out to visit cousin M. before long how would it do for you to run up and see us? We are feeling the time long since we saw you.       
  Anna has quite a sore mouth and throat from a cold we think. She did not venture to go to church sunday tho' all the rest went. They are pretty well now in their room. I sent a P.O. order for $30. Had you not better pay what you can spare of it towards your board? Then if at any other time you have to be slow in paying they will be easy with you. Please

added at top: my snow shoes to the village. I had one walk so Thursday and another Friday of last week. The last to J.G. Jones' Cabin. Had much pleasure both times. I rode home from the village Friday with Bill Jones, Cousins? He said Frankie and the rest were well. Annie Jones was in Remsen visiting relatives there.
